International Safety Management Code (ISM)

Development and implementation of safety management system (SMS) for companies and vessels. We have long experience in such work. Since 1997 we have implemented systems on more than 60 vessels. Most of them are using electronic systems to communicate changes and reports.

International Ship & Port Facility Security Code (ISPS)

Ship security assessments Onboard assessment to verify status according to ISPS requirements. The assessment will normaly create a list of non conformities which we present to the company for correction. Ship security plan From the security assesment we make a ship security plan for the exact vessel with procedures as required.

Cargo Securing Manual

Cargo units, including containers, shall be loaded, stowed and secured troughout the voyage in accordance with the Cargo Securing Manual approved by the Administration. The Cargo Securing Manual is required on all types of ships engaged in the carriage of all cargoes other than solid and liquid bulk cargoes, which shall be drawn up to a standard at least equivalent to the guidelines developed by the Organisation. Ref. SOLAS 1974 regs. VI/5, VII/6; MSC/ Circ. 745 We have a broad experience and can offer such Manuals for your vessels.

Garbage Management Manual

Every ship of 400 gross tonnage and above and every ship which is certified to carry 15 persons or more shall carry a garbage management plan which the crew shall follow. Ref. MARPOL 73/78 Annex V , reg 9. We have a broad experience with such plans and can offer plans for your ship.

Training Manual & Operational Booklet for Fire Safety

We have a long experience in producing "Training and operational manual", according to requirements. If you are in a position for a manual , don't hesitate to contact us.

Specifications and estimates before shipyard visit

We can offer in co-operation with Karmøy Skipsconsult, specifications and estimates before shipyard visit. We can also offer to follow up during the shipyard visit.

ISM Code 12.4 part A says: «Personnel carrying out audits should be independent of the areas being audited, unless this is impraticable due to the size and the nature of the Company» We at Karmøy Skipsconsult Management have long experience in carrying out audits onshore and offshore and can offer our services to your company.
